Polite Buses in Japan

Some people say Japanese people are polite. Now, how about Japanese buses? Recently, many Twitter users in Japan tweet that they got apologies from buses.

On the bus in this picture says, すみません回送中です, SORRY OUT OF SERVICE. Not all buses in Japan have this kind of indication. You can see this on some buses in Hyogo, Tokyo, Aomori, Hakodate, Kyoto, Okayama, Miyazaki.

The first bus company which started this apology is Shinki Bus in Himeji, Hyogo. The company says, some bus driver suggested that they should add apology to “OUT OF SERVICE” indication, because they were feeling sorry for passing the passenger lines at bus stops.
