Jingo-ji Temple in autumn, 2017

Jingo-ji is a Buddhist temple in Mount Takao, which is in northwestern part of Kyoto city. Jingo-ji was established in 8-9th century, it contains a lot of cultural property which are very important for the history of Buddhism in Japan.

Since Jingo-ji temple is in the mountain side, you can see some autumn leaves here earlier than in other spots. Here are some photos shot in November 11th, 2017.

Jingo-ji (神護寺) is a Buddhist temple in Kyoto. It stands on Mount Takao to the northwest of the center of the city. The temple adheres to Shingon Buddhism.
